Disciplinary resources for DoRANum
Since 2015, the online self-training platform DoRANum has been a valued resource teaching researchers, PhD students and support staff about research data management and sharing. The organisation of the current platform is based on nine transversal research themes and features a range of learning resources.
The disciplinary project for DoRANum aims to enrich the platform by developing disciplinary training resources to support scientific communities on elements that structure data FAIRisation matters in their disciplines (e.g. metadata schemas, controlled vocabularies, infrastructures, tools, disciplinary warehouses etc.).
The work of the DoRANum team (URFIST network/Inist-CNRS) to achieve this is steered by a scientific committee of 15 experts.
When these resources are rolled out, digital badges will be introduced into the scheme to recognise the skills acquired.
The resources developed will be hosted either on the DoRANum website or in the space dedicated to DoRANum on the Callisto platform in the case of complete lessons with the attribution of digital badges
My analyses of digital study objects are based on the sociology of uses, political communication and territorial intelligence and involve the development of digital and mixed methods. I have been interested in the common uses and appropriation of open knowledge since 2016. At the URFIST of Lyon, I develop training courses on open science issues based on various pedagogical methods.
Claire Sowinski is the head of the Training-DoRANum Unit at the Inist CNRS. She leads and coordinates training in managing and sharing FAIR research data in collaboration with the Inist’s local, national and international partners.
Claire Sowinski has been a digital education engineer since 2015 and designed and produced training resources to contribute to the creation and development of the DoRANum platform (GIS Urfist partnership). She also runs hybrid data management training courses. She and her training unit work as part of professional networks like the DMP WG and Renatis and on international projects like the European OBERRED (Open Badge Ecosystem for the Recognition of skills in Research Data management and sharing) Erasmus+ project.
