LIBER and other organizations – Allied for Startups, the League of European Research Universities (LERU), the European University Association (EUA) and Digital Europe – have sent an open letter to the European Commission, Council and Parliament who are currently negotiating the final changes to the directive on authors’ copyright. They call on the European Union to adopt a broad, obligatory exception for Text and Data Mining (TDM) to guarantee a flourishing European research and innovation sector.
