Publication of the Small Encyclopedia of Open Science
The aim of the Small Encyclopedia of Open Science developed by the Committee for Open Science is to disseminate clear and comprehensive knowledge on ten key open science topics.
- Open Science Infrastructure
- Open Scientific Data
- Languages of Science
- Uses of Open Science
- Open Science Monitor
- Bibliometrics
- Economics of Open Science
- Diamond Open Access
- Research Transparency
- Scientific Integrity
Each topic is the subject of an encyclopaedic entry published in English and French which summarises and draws on several sources such as scientific publications, reports, bibliographical resources and data.
This Encyclopedia was conceived as a common good from the outset so each article is published under a free licence in two spaces – firstly as an encyclopaedic article on the encyclo.ouvrirlascience.fr website and secondly as an independently updated Wikipedia article. This Wikipedia version will evolve autonomously thanks to the collaborative encyclopedia’s collective contribution system.
