The scientific community of historians of art and material cultures places images at the heart of its reflections and demonstrations. Drawing on the tools and editorial chains developed by players in public scientific publishing, the overall aim of the PerVisum project is to provide this community with an innovative editorial system and methodology dedicated to the publication of visual scientific articles and structured commentary data on digitised sources.
