Methods for the digital transition of MNHN monographies
Proposing a technical solution for digitalizing the Museum’s monographies. The tools and methods developed in the scope of this project will allow for a “freemium” publication of works, as well as rendering scientific data structured and interoperable.

Components of the projet
- Adapt Métopes to technical science publications (linked editorial units, incrementation of figures and tables).
- Increase semantized and interoperable data (beyond MetoTaxa).
- Make enhanced digital versions (ePub, pdf, HTML) available as soon as they are published, and feed data into appropriate databases.
Major resuts
- Addition of taxonomic annotations to Treatment Bank and GBIF.
- Creation of links between editorial units (including bibliographic citations and their brief references).
- Contribution to the publication of the joint statement on best practices for citing scientific names in taxonomy.
