Open Science prizes
The Open Science Awards are part of the Second National Plan for Open Science and are awarded by the Minister for Higher Education and Research to reward emblematic initiatives in this field.
The Open Science Research Data Awards reward the efforts of teams implementing best practices in structuring, describing, interoperating, disseminating, enhancing the visibility and reuse of research data and so forth.
The Open Science Free Software Awards showcase projects and teams working to develop and disseminate open source software – a common good of prime importance for scientific knowledge.
Since 2024, the Open Science Dissertation Awards aims to promote open science practices among doctoral students. It seeks to highlight open science skills and assess the contribution they make to the quality of dissertations.
