Founded in 1991, arXiv is an open-access repository massively used by the scientific community. arXiv.org hosts more than two million scholarly articles in eight different fields of study (physics, mathematics, computer science, quantitative biology, quantitative finance, statistics, electrical and systems engineering, economics), approved for posting after volunteered moderation. arXiv offers scientists a large panel of services: submission, compilation, production, recovery, article research and discovery, web broadcast for human readers and API access for computing engines, as well as content conservation and protection. arXiv is funded by Cornell University, Simons Foundation, member institutions and donors.
