ALPSP Conference and Awards 2023

Conference

The ALPSP Annual Conference and Awards  will be the first hybrid ALPSP Conference and we look forward to bringing the scholarly community together both in-person and virtually.

This year’s programme will reflect topic submissions from the ALPSP community and will cover a range of topics such as Open Science and Open Access (covering angles including, open data, books, small societies, and equitable OA models), as well as sessions on researcher behaviour, diversity in commissioning, an Industry Leaders ‘Question Time’, and more.

We are delighted to introduce our keynote speaker, Dr. Elizabeth Gadd, Research Policy Manager, Loughborough University, who will be presenting on ‘Future Trends in Responsible Research Evaluation’. Lizzie’s keynote talk will take place at the start of this year’s ALPSP Conference on Wednesday 13 September.

Lizzie leads on research policy and culture at Loughborough University. She chairs the International Network Of Research Management Societies (INORMS) Research Evaluation Group and is Vice Chair of the Coalition on Advancing Research Assessment (CoARA). In 2022, she co-authored the UKRI-commissioned report, ‘Harnessing the Metric Tide: Indicators, Infrastructures & Priorities for UK Research Assessment’.

More speakers will be announced soon.
